48-hour water shutdown to affect these areas in Johannesburg
A 48-hour water shutdown has been announced by Rand Water, which will affect a number of areas in Johannesburg.

Rand Water will perform a 48-hour water shutdown in Johannesburg leading to the closure of numerous reservoirs and systems, which will affect various areas.
The planned maintenance will affect the Palmiet System, which supplies a number of systems, towers and reservoirs. These are the ones that will be affected for two days this week.
SYSTEMS AFFECTED BY 48-HOUR WATER SHUTDOWN
Johannesburg Water issued a notice revealing that a planned maintenance by Rand Water will be performed over a period of two days. The planned water shutdown will affect the Palmiet System on Saturday and Sunday, 25 – 26 January 2025.
It supplies the following systems:

- Alexander Park Reservoir
- Sandton Systems
- Midrand Systems
