Brazil's Bolsonaro ordered to start serving 27-year prison sentence for coup plot
Brazil's Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered far-right former president Jair Bolsonaro to begin serving a 27-year sentence for plotting a failed coup, after he exhausted all appeals. The former president and several of his allies were convicted in September over the botched attempt to overthrow Brazil’s democracy following his 2022 election defeat.
