BREAKING: Tiffany Meek’s bail application postponed

Jayden-Lee Meek’s mother, Tiffany Meek, appeared before the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court for the formal bail application on Friday, 18 July.

The matter has been postponed to Monday, 21 July, for a ruling.

The 31-year-old is charged with murder, defeating the ends of justice, crimen injuria and obstructing the course of justice.

NEW DETAILS EMERGE

The court heard that blood was found on Jayden-Lee’s bed and school books. However, Tiffany, through an affidavit, claimed that the 11-year-old’s bloodied items were not in the house.

She was arrested on Friday, 11 July, nearly two months after Jayden-Lee’s death. Tiffany also suggested that she has been framed for her son’s murder.

COMMUNITY UP IN ARMS

Community members gathered outside the courthouse, demanding justice for Jayden-Lee and voicing outrage over the brutal death of the young boy.
