German leisure carrier Condor is giving travellers extra time to enjoy South Africa’s late-autumn warmth by extending its Frankfurt–Cape Town seasonal service.

Originally scheduled to end in April 2026, the route will now continue until 22 May 2026.

More seasonal flights from Condor

According to Travelnews, under the revised schedule, Condor will operate three weekly flights throughout May.

  • Flight DE2290 departs Frankfurt on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
  • The return flight, DE2291, then leaves Cape Town on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The extension reflects strong demand for the popular long-haul route, which connects one of Europe’s busiest hubs with one of Africa’s most scenic destinations.

For German travellers, it means extra flexibility for off-season holidays and extended stays.

For South Africa, it’s another sign of recovery in international tourism, with airlines increasingly stretching their flight calendars to meet sustained interest beyond traditional peak months.
