The Western Cape will experience cloudy spells, isolated showers and warm inland temperatures as shifting weather patterns affect Cape Town.

Cloud cover has settled over Cape Town as the province experiences mild but unsettled conditions. According to forecaster Mpho Rasimphi, “cloudy conditions have moved towards Cape Town today, although rain remains isolated.”

While coastal areas remain cool, the interior regions of the Western Cape will warm considerably throughout the day tomorrow.

Warm inland weather and scattered showers in parts of Western Cape

Isolated showers remain possible overnight, particularly along the southern coastline. Areas such as George and Mossel Bay will see mild conditions with intermittent cloudy cover.

Rasimphi added that “George can expect a warm day with temperatures rising toward the mid-20s, while inland regions will reach much hotter highs.”

The interior Karoo will warm significantly, with temperatures reaching 30°C or higher.

Tomorrow’s forecast shows rising heat

Warmer conditions will extend across much of the Western Cape tomorrow. Cape Town will reach highs of around 26°C, while Worcester, Beaufort West and surrounding towns may experience temperatures in the mid-30s.

Rasimphi said that “hot conditions are expected as we move further north, with maximums reaching 34°C in some areas.”
