Confirmed: SABC to show today’s Orlando Pirates match
Betway Premiership title chasers Orlando Pirates return to action to battle TS Galaxy away at the Mbombela Stadium. It's been confirmed the SABC crew have made the trip.
Orlando Pirates face the biggest high-pressure match of their 2025/26 season so far againt TS Galaxy after Mamelodi Sundowns took the league title race lead with the 3-1 win over Marumo Gallants midweek.
SABC 1 will televise the match at 15:30 as the Buccaneers look to respond and reclaim top position with 51 points while Sundowns could drop to second place with 50.
ORLANDO PIRATES VISIT INCONSISTENT TS GALAXY
Adnan Beganovic’s side are unplayable on their day but fortunately for the Sea Robbers, this happens too inconsistently.
Galaxy have earned just one point from a possible 15 in the past five games. The 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch FC last week was preceeded by four straight losses: 2-1 to Orbit College, 1-0 to Siwelele, 2-1 loss to Durban City and 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United.
Orlando Pirates could end the week right back where they feel they belong, at the top, if they get back to winning ways in Mbombela. This comes after a frustrating slip in their last outing, where they had to fight from behind against Siwelele at the Orlando Stadium, only to settle for a point in the end.
It was Abdeslam Ouaddou’s first home draw of the season. That result saw them lose their grip on top spot, dropping to second with just nine games left in the Betway Premiership. The good news? The gap is only two points.

Away from home, Orlando Pirates have quietly built something solid. The Buccaneers haven’t lost on the road since the opening month of the 2025/26 campaign. Nine matches, no defeats. Out of a possible 30 points, they’ve collected 23.
Now, with the FIFA break around the corner, this next match feels bigger than just three points. A win in Mbombela sends Orlando Pirates into the break sitting top of the table again.
They’ll have to do it without Tapelo Xoki and Sihle Nduli, both still out, but there’s a boost with Selaelo Rasebotja closing in on a return after getting back to full training.
