The Polokwane Local Municipality has confirmed reports of discoloured water affecting households in Seshego Zone 2.

Frustrated residents gathered outside the municipal offices in Polokwane, holding placards and demanding urgent intervention to address the water quality concerns.

Water quality tests

In a statement, the municipality said water quality tests and technical investigations are currently under way to determine the cause of the discolouration.

Authorities added that water tankers have been deployed to affected areas to provide temporary relief while the matter is being resolved.
