In Friday’s Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup semi-final, Pakistan Shaheens lost seven wickets to Sri Lanka.

Lahiru Udara and Ahan Wickramasinghe scored 64 runs to set the tone for Sri Lanka’s chase. Udara scored 43 from 20 balls to stamp his authority. Today’s promoted batsman, Ahan, scored a 52 with four boundaries and a six.

The chase looked easy because to Ahan and Sahan Arachchige’s fourth wicket partnership. Both batters scored 32 runs. Sahan managed to score 17. Sufiyan Muqeem and Abbas Afridi both took wickets for Shaheens.

Shaheens gave Sri Lanka A 20 overs to chase 136. No Shaheens batter besides Omair bin Yousuf contributed well. Mohammad Haris’s team started losing wickets regularly.

Shaheens scored 135-9 thanks to Omair’s 68 off 46. Shaheens were in trouble after their batting collapse. The skipper Mohammad Haris (6), Qasim Akram (0), Haider Ali (14), Arafat Minhas (10), Abdul Samad (0), Abbas Afridi (9), and Mohammad Imran (13) scored little.

Dushan Hemantha took the most Sri Lanka A wickets with four. Nipun Ransika and Eshan Malinga each grabbed one. Pakistan Shaheens batted first against Sri Lanka A at Al Amerat on Friday.
