EU slaps new tariffs of up to 35.3 percent on Chinese electric vehicles
The EU on Tuesday announced a new increase of tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles on top of the current 10 percent currently levied on car imports. The extra taxes, set to enter into force no later than Thursday, was the subject of much debate among EU members with strong opposition from Germany and Hungary amid fears of sparking a trade war.
