After having signed Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, Chiefs are reported to be assessing a French striker whose full names are unknown, according to Phakaaathi.

The publication reports that the said striker arrived at Naturena last week, and he could be offered a deal should he impress Arthur Zwane and his technical team.

As things stand, Chiefs are struggling in front of goal with all the weight put on two players in new signings Bimenyimana and Ashley du Preez.

However, their goalscoring problems are still haven’t been solved – and this could be the reason they are still opening a cheque book.

To date, Chiefs have scored just four goals in the league while they have conceded seven – three of which came against Maritzburg United while the other came via a spot-kick against Richards Bay FC.

And that’s not a good return for a team that’s eager to challenge for honours this season, especially after signing some good players in this transfer window.

KAIZER CHIEFS ASSESSING FRENCH STRIKER?

“I am not sure of his name but he is Jean-Paul-something, I forget. He last played in Australia or New Zealand,” said a source to the publication.

“He was recommended to the club and they agreed to take a closer look at him to see if he might be a good find,” added the source.
