Kaizer Chiefs transfer update: Amakhosi to bring in the NEW Kabamba Musasa
Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement with Lilepo’s French side for a fee believed to be around €500,000 [R9.6 million].

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly signed Congolese winger Glody Makabi Lilepo from French Ligue 2 side Valenciennes.
Following his team’s relegation from Ligue 2, a clause in Lilepo’s contract was activated, resulting in a significant salary reduction. A change in coaching staff has prompted the 27-year-old player to leave the club.
Lilepo joined Valenciennes from Sudanese giants Al Hilal in September 2023. Although not much is known about the Congolese attacker, Kaizer Chiefs are hopeful that he can contribute more than Christian Saile, who has since moved to SuperSport United.
Lilepo has been praised for his ability to take on opponents and his creative flair, which may enhance the team’s current capabilities. Over 20 years ago, Amakhosi signed DR Congo star Kabamba Musasa, who made a significant impact in his first season before eventually leaving the Soweto giants a few seasons later.

According to Soccer Laduma, discussions between the two parties have been ongoing. “Despite some initial reluctance from Lilepo, who preferred to remain in Europe, the player has now given the green light, with terms reportedly agreed upon.”
This week, it was reported that Chiefs have reached an agreement with Lilepo’s French side Valenciennes FC for a transfer fee believed to be around €500,000 [R9.6 million].
In previous months, Kaizer Chiefs were linked with another Congolese star. The player in question is Fiston Mayele from the Egyptian side Pyramids.
