On Monday, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated Pakistan’s domestic cricket structure was well. He committed to strengthen the domestic system with all resources. Naqvi and board officials told a Lahore press conference that the domestic system will not be changed because it was not needed. He introduced Champions Cup with five 30-player teams. Waqar Younis will lead the CEOs of all five teams in the competition, which will include all three formats.
Naqvi stressed that CEOs of these teams will polish 30 players. Waqar Younis will develop international players for the Champions Cup, Naqvi stated. The domestic cup would choose the best players among 150 players, according to Naqvi. He recognized attempts to improve women’s cricket by adding resources.
