South Korea military says ‘fully ready’ amid dispute with Pyongyang over drone flights

South Korea said Monday it was "fully ready" to respond after North Korea ordered army units on the border to be "ready to open fire" amid a dispute over drone flights into the North. Tensions between the neighbouring countries grew as the North accused the South of sending drones to scatter a "huge number" of anti-North leaflets over Pyongyang, in what it called a political and military provocation that could lead to armed conflict.
