Springboks v All Blacks: Kick off time at Eden Park

The Springboks face a decisive match in the Rugby Championship this Saturday as they take on the All Blacks at Eden Park in Auckland, where South Africa last won a match way back in 1937.

With everything to play for in the Rugby Championship, the Springboks will meet the All Blacks in successive Tests in Auckland and in Wellington on 6 and 13 September, with only two points separating the arch-rivals on the standings after two rounds.

Especially for fans watching in South Africa, it’s important to note that kick off time will be at 09:05 (SA time) this Saturday, 6 September. The kick off time locally at Eden Park in Auckland is at 19:05.

Springboks v All Blacks at Eden Park expected to be a humdinger

Springbok assistant coach Jerry Flannery said his team had to be at their best this weekend to break their hoodoo at Eden Park.

“I haven’t tracked everything since 1937, but for us the important thing will be to go out there and play our game – Springbok rugby – and play our best game.

“I think we’ve been a little inconsistent so far this season. We’ve had some really good performances, especially against the Barbarians and in our second Test against Italy, but I don’t think we’ve really hit the heights that we are looking for yet, so we need to be at our best.”

The Springboks had their second training session of the week on Saturday, following their arrival in New Zealand a few days ago, and will have Sunday off to rest and recover fully from the trip to the land of the long white cloud, before switching into full Test match mode on Monday.
