Mamelodi Sundowns have entered the race to sign Stellenbosch FC’s star defender Fawaaz Basadien.

Sundowns will challenge Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in pursuit of the 28-year-old left-back from Stellenbosch FC.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have joined Orlando Pirates in the race for Stellenbosch FC’s left-back, Fawaaz Basadien’s signature,” FARPost reported.
“With Terrence Mashego poised to leave Sundowns at the end of the season, the recently crowned Betway Premiership champions are looking to strengthen their squad in that position. Mashego’s contract expires in June, although Sundowns hold an option for extension,” the outlet reported.
