This SA airline ranked the most on-time airline in the Middle East and Africa
FlySafair has been named the most on-time airline in its region, beating major global carriers on punctuality.
South African airline FlySafair has been named the most on-time airline in the Middle East and Africa, according to the Cirium 2025 On-Time Performance Review.
The airline achieved an on-time arrival score of 91.06%, placing it at the top of the regional rankings.
While this is slightly down from its 2024 score of 93.82%, it still outperformed every airline included in both the regional and global assessments.
Most on-time airline in Africa
Cirium credited the airline’s precise scheduling, fast 30-minute turnarounds, and use of real-time data for its strong performance.
FlySafair Chief Marketing Officer Kirby Gordon said the 2025 recognition was a major achievement given ongoing challenges in air traffic management, fuel supply, and airport infrastructure.
“This result is a credit to the dedication of our teams,” Gordon said, as per a media release.
Cirium’s rankings are based on more than 25 million data points from over 600 sources and are widely regarded as the industry standard for operational performance.
