Israeli President Issac Herzog on Wednesday said he received a letter from US President Donald Trump asking him to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is on trial in three corruption cases. In the letter Trump wrote that the legal proceedings against Netanyahu were "political, unjustified prosecution".
