Only 31% of U.S. adults approve of how President Donald Trump is handling the economy, down from 40% in March, according to a new AP-NORC poll – the lowest economic rating he has recorded in either term. SUNY-Empire State University history professor Ian Reifowitz said Trump is now "significantly underwater," with his party also struggling, as Democrats flipped 20% of Republican House seats in 2025, while Republicans failed to flip any Democratic seats. "It's not going well for Trump's party," Reifowitz added.
