Updated rankings after Springboks hammer All Blacks

The Springboks have soared back to No 1 in the world rankings after securing a stunning victory over the All Blacks in Wellington on Saturday.

Not even in their wildest dreams could the Springboks have imagined that they would be able to pull off such a remarkable result after coming into this game with a new-look team, and as undoubted underdogs after a loss at Eden Park last weekend.

Yet, an incredible team effort completely turned things around, and the huge victory has seen the Springboks shoot to No 1 once again in the world rankings, while New Zealand fall to third.

Earlier in the day, a narrow win for Argentina over Australia also saw the Pumas leapfrog up to sixth place in the rankings.
