The Maroon Machine won 32-7 after leading 7-0 at half-time.

Maties outsourced their Cape rivals by six tries to one.

With their win, Maties moved up to third place in the standings, while the Ikeys dropped to fourth place.

In next week’s Round 6 matches, Maties will host NWU Eagles at the Danie Craven Stadium at 19:00, while UCT Ikeys will be on the road against UFS Shimlas in Bloemfontein, also at 19:00.
