World's largest known coral found near Solomon Islands

The world's largest known coral, visible from space, has been discovered in the waters of the Solomon Islands.  Scientists said the discovery of the gigantic organism offered a glimmer of hope at a time when hotter and more acidic oceans have drained the life from corals throughout the region.
