Noah is a proud South African with interesting lineage. His father, Robert, is of Swiss German ancestry, and his mother, Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah, is Xhosa. If you’re a fan of his comedy, you’ll know that Trevor Noah can speak a number of languages fluently.

Trevor Noah the polyglot
The 38-year-old speaks eight languages. Namely, English, Afrikaans, South Sotho, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, Tsonga and some German. Now that he’s been linked with Dua Lipa, the 38-year-old’s celeb status abroad is only going to skyrocket. Maybe he’ll pick up a bit of Albanian? That’s where some of her ancestry lies.
In his professional life, Trevor recently announced that he would be leaving “The Daily Show”, a gig that he held for seven years.
What were your thoughts on his stint as the anchor and main attraction of The Daily Show? It’s definitely the end of a massive era.
