Donald Trump’s recent remarks at the UN in support of Ukraine reflect more of a "tactical repositioning" rather than a genuine policy shift, explains Jaroslava Barbieri, Research Fellow at the Ukraine Forum at Chatham House. Ms. Barbieri points out Trump has consistently been very contradictory in his statements towards Russia and Ukraine. All the while, she warns that Russia is probing NATO’s defences with drone incursions and airspace violations, denying involvement, despite the evidence to the contrary.
