Kaizer Chiefs coach praises TWO players after Sekhukhune win

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Ben Youssef Khalil has hailed two players following his team’s 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon.

A late goal from Mfundo Vilakazi gave Amakhosi all three points in Durban to move them to sixth in the Betway Premiership. Yousseff, who’s in for suspended Nasreddine Nabi, guided the Soweto giants to another win in 2025.

After the match, the Kaizer Chiefs’ assistant coach praised Samkelo Zwane and George Matlou. He admitted that the club’s best players were the young players.

“I think, to be honest with you, our younger players, they perform very well, our best players are our younger players,” said Khalil on SuperSport TV.

“The problem, we have to protect them because there is a lot of pressure. Zwane we discuss with him a lot of time in the training, sometimes we are angry like he is our son, and sometimes we are angry against him. This game he got his chance and he did well.

With Kaizer Chiefs coach Nabi suspended for the next game, Yousseff is expected to take over once again. The Tunisian mentor is expected to return to the bench next month against Orlando Pirates.
