Kaizer Chiefs: Players that need to leave to save their careers

Nabi ball is rolling at Kaizer Chiefs. This sees forward movement for some well others have been left behind.

Kaizer Chiefs have started to develop distinct patters in their starting XI’s under Nasreddine Nabi so far.

Meaning, we can deduce the players who are set to feature prominently. Furthermore, with this in mind it clear that some players will struggle for playing time under Nabi. Therefore, several Chiefs players are linked with January exits. Meanwhile, these Amakhosi players are not in Nabi’s plans.

Therefore, for several players they must consider leaving if they are to save their careers.

CHIEFS PLAYERS THAT NEED TO LEAVE TO SAVE CAREERS

BRUCE BVUMA BAFANA BAFANA DREAMS ON THE LINE

Goalkeeper, Bruce Bvuma will have to find a new club if he has ambitions of representing Bafana Bafana again. Amakhosi’s reserve goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons. Now, following the signing of Fiacre Nwari, he finds himself further down the pecking order.

So, with AFCON Qualifiers and the 2026 FIFA World Cup drawing near he must consider finding a new club if he wants to represent the national side again.

CHIEFS DEFENDERS FALL DOWN THE PECKING ORDER

Meanwhile, Thatayaone Dihtlokwe finds himself in the same boat with the Botswanan national side.

The talented defender is well aware of this and has requested to leave Chiefs, as reported on The South African. Additionally, Zitha Kwinika finds himself playing second fiddle to Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel.

The centre back pairing have established themselves as Nabi and Chiefs first-choice pairing.

AMAKHOSI MIDFIELDERS STRUGGLING FOR MINUTES

Pule Mmodi, Tebogo Potsane, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo are all in the same boat with Amakhosi under Nabi. All four midfielders are extremely talented – they have all had their time to shine in the PSL.

However, since joining Chiefs Mmodi, Potsane and Mdantsane have all struggled for gametime. Mmodi was a star at Golden Arrows. Whereas, Potsane showed plenty of promise and potential at MaMkhize’s Royal AM. Also, Mdantsane was one of the standout players in the PSL during his time at Cape Town City.

Finally, Ngcobo has been a Chiefs favourite for years.

Now, the talented Chiefs midfielder is linked with a surprise exit. For all four stars, they are unlikely to play much with the likes of Yusuf Maart, Gaston Sirino, Samkelo Zwane, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Edson Castillo all ahead in the pecking order.

Therefore, if they want to feature prominently, they must consider finding new clubs. Likewise, if any of this players have national ambitions. In fact, Hugo Broos has expectedly made it clear that players not playing at their clubs will not be considered.
