Pro-EU candidate narrowly wins first round of Polish presidential election

Rafal Trzaskowski from Poland's ruling centrists Civic Coalition (KO) narrowly won the presidential election first round on Sunday,  the electoral commission said, setting up a run-off with rightwing rival Karol Nawrocki to determine if Poland sticks to a pro-European path. Far-right voters are to play a crucial role in second round.
