SASSA HAPPY EASTER MESSAGE FALLS FLAT

Typically, SASSA Old-Age Grants are distributed on the first Tuesday of every month. However, due to peculiarities in the 2026 calendar, this date only falls on Tuesday 7 April 2026, after the Easter long weekend.
Meanwhile, SASSA Disability, War Veterans and Childcare are always paid on the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month, which neatly fall on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 April 2026, respectively.

However, for reasons unknown, the agency opted to backtrack Old-Age Grants to Thursday 2 April 2026, ahead of the long weekend. But delay all remaining grants till after the long weekend.
