In a viral video, she and her friends reportedly spent R130 000 on high-end clothes and accessories over a short period.
The clip quickly spread on social media, drawing both admiration and criticism.
She is the CEO and chairperson of Tap and Go Taxi Company, a ride-hailing service started by her father, Dr Paul Tungwarara, a business figure and presidential investment advisor.
Social media reacts to R130 000 shopping spree in SA
Social media users criticised her spending during Zimbabwe’s economic struggles.
Lawyer Fadzai Mahere pointed out that Tino spent a huge amount on her shopping spree in Johannesburg, while teachers earn just US$270 (R4 400) per month ,meaning she spent the equivalent of 67 teachers’ monthly salaries in just two days.
X user @Yell_Taper expressed frustration indicating that there are many Zimbabweans in South Africa struggling to make ends meet.
